Cookie policy

We use one cookie, and it exists to keep you signed in. There's no analytics, no advertising and no tracking — which is why you've never seen a cookie banner here.

The cookie we set

NamePurposeExpires
pb_sessionKeeps you signed in after you click a sign-in link. It holds a random session identifier — no personal data — and can’t be read by JavaScript.30 days

This is a strictly necessary cookie: without it, signing in can’t work. Rules on cookie consent don’t require us to ask permission for it, so we don’t interrupt you with a banner. It’s only set once you actually sign in — browse and book as a guest and no cookie is set at all.

Other storage the site uses

The booking flow keeps your progress in your browser’s session storage, so a refresh in the middle of a booking doesn’t lose the addresses and parcel details you’ve typed. It holds your quote, contents, addresses and a checkout reference.

Session storage isn’t a cookie: it never leaves your device, isn’t sent to us with requests, and is wiped when you close the tab. Closing the tab mid-booking clears it.

Cookies set by Stripe

Card payments are handled by Stripe inside a secure frame on our checkout page. Stripe sets its own cookies there to detect fraud and to work out whether a payment needs extra verification from your bank. Those cookies are Stripe’s, are necessary for the payment to go through, and are covered by Stripe’s cookie policy.

What we don't use

No analytics cookies. No advertising or retargeting pixels. No social media trackers. Nothing that follows you to other websites. If that ever changes we’ll ask your permission first and update this page.

Managing cookies

Every browser lets you view and delete cookies, and block them entirely. Blocking ours means you won’t be able to sign in, but you’ll still be able to get quotes, book as a guest and track a parcel.

What we do with the data behind all this is covered in the privacy notice.
